Crop top, Urban Outfitters/Maxi skirt, vintage/Flatforms, Asos.

Although my love for shorts are deep and undying, occasionally – just occasionally – I get a bit of a hankering for something else. Somehow, despite this love for bare legs I’m not really one for summer. Summer style confuses me precisely because of the lack of layers it allows, when you’re forbidden to pile on coat over cardigan over jumper over vest. So when it’s hot and I want to wear as little as possible and I have that wardrobe full of shorts… It can veer a little on the skimpy side. Enter the maxi skirt.

I am the first one to admit that I can’t buy these beauties unless they’re in the teenage/children’s section (or that rare thing, the petite line). And hey why should I mind? Sometimes it’s cheaper. But maxi skirts or dresses for the shorter masses are rare things indeed – grab onto them no matter how little your bank balance or where or when you find them when you do!

Ugh finally another person that shares the pain of finding the perfect maxi skirt. Short people unite! I love your blog!

    • I know, us shorties have it hard right? My friends even love to put their elbows on my shoulders and use me as a leaning post. Such mockery! Thanks for the comment. πŸ™‚
